Building the operating and technology foundation for a Chamber of Commerce
Not a software purchase. An operating-system problem.
- The situation
- A chamber of commerce needed support across both team setup and IT setup. Membership operations, communications and internal responsibilities had grown without a designed structure underneath them.
- The question
- What does this organisation need to be able to do, and what has to exist — in people, process and technology — for it to do that reliably?
- What we did
- We treated the assignment as an operating-system problem rather than a software purchase, working across organisational responsibilities, workflows, information management, member operations, communications and the technology required to support them: who does what, what information they need, where it lives, and which systems carry it.
- Outcome / next step
- An operating model and a technology foundation designed to fit each other, spanning people, process and technology rather than treating any one of them as the whole problem.
