Approach

Five stages, each with a decision at the end.

You should be able to stop after any stage with something useful in hand. That is how we scope, and how we would want to be hired. Two things run underneath all five: the registration calendar — BSMI, TFDA, TIPO — and the question of who holds each licence when the work is done.

    Brief

A written brief in plain language: what you sell, to whom, what you have tried, what a good outcome looks like. We agree the questions the work must answer. Two things get done in week one regardless of what follows, because both get more expensive the longer they wait: your trademark is filed with TIPO in your own name, and we establish whether your product falls inside BSMI or TFDA scope at all.

    You receive

A one-page brief, agreed success criteria, and a trademark filed before any partner sees it.

    Decision at the end

Whether this is work worth doing at all.

  2. 02

    Discovery

Conversations across Taiwan — buyers, specifiers, importers, plant managers, your competitors’ customers — in Mandarin, in person where it matters: Taipei for the decision, Hsinchu for the specification, Taichung for the component chain. Where your category has a show, we work it: TIMTOS in March of odd years, COMPUTEX and Food Taipei in June.

    You receive

A discovery report with verbatim evidence and a clear read.

    Decision at the end

Which channel, which region, and whether to proceed.

  3. 03

    Decision

A recommendation you can take to a board. Entry mode with its real consequences — a representative office may not trade at all; a branch escapes the 5% retained-earnings tax a subsidiary pays; a company located in a science park registers with the Science Park Bureau rather than the city government. Alongside it, the registration calendar and, explicitly, who will hold each licence.

    You receive

A recommendation with a plan, a budget and a named holder for every registration.

    Decision at the end

Commit, wait, or stop — with reasons.

  4. 04

    Introductions

Qualified partners and priority accounts, met by us first. We attend the meetings, prepare you for the room, and handle the follow-up that decides whether a meeting becomes a relationship. Where a 代理商 asks for exclusivity, we tie it to targets with automatic lapse and keep it bounded by channel or region rather than granting the whole island.

    You receive

A signed partner agreement or opened accounts, with a negotiation record.

    Decision at the end

Who to work with, on what terms.

  5. 05

    Follow-through

The months after entry: partner enablement, pipeline reviews, quality issues and the honest monthly note to headquarters. It is also the diary nobody keeps — a BSMI registration runs three years and may be extended once before a fresh application is needed, and nothing moves in Taiwan for the week around Lunar New Year. We plan backwards from both.

    You receive

A monthly report, a live pipeline, a renewal diary, and a partner review each quarter.

    Decision at the end

When to scale, restructure, or establish a Taiwanese entity.

Three things we hold ourselves to.

  1. We report what the market said, not what you hoped it would say. A clear no early is cheaper than a slow maybe.
  2. We only introduce you to people we have met. A name from a database is research; an introduction is a relationship we are putting on the line.
  3. Your registrations and trademarks stay yours. We will not structure an entry that leaves your right to sell in Taiwan sitting in someone else’s filing cabinet.

Next step

Bring us one question about Taiwan.

An entry mode to choose. A distributor to qualify. A certification that is holding up a launch. We reply within two working days with a candid view.
